The first mentions of this breed can be found in Tamra Maew, or Cat Book Poems (1350–1767). Khaomanees were only allowed to reside with the royal families in ancient Siam and were revered as a sign of good fortune, longevity, and riches. They are a witty, loyal, and inquisitive breed. They enjoy playing catch right before taking a warm bedtime nap with you.
